Parent / Child

Parent/Child classes introduces little ones to being comfortable in the water. Calm instructors use interactive toys, fun songs and safety games to create a happy and safe environment. Classes are built around socialization, water acclimation and beginner swim skills. We introduce children to floating, kicking, holding onto the wall and climbing in and out of the pool safely. We also teach survival and safety swimming which even include boat rides!

Level 1 Swim Classes

Level 1 is an introduction to basic swimming and floating skills. Your child will learn how to feel comfortable submerging their eyes, nose and mouth in the water, blowing bubbles, streamline body position, proper kicks, floating and rolling over to get to their back. We also do a safety skill called Green and Speckled Frogs that simulates falling into the pool. They will jump in, come up and float on their back, and then roll and swim to the nearest safe spot. They must be able to swim 5 feet independently to pass to the next level.

Level 2 Swim Classes

Level 2 builds upon on Level 1 skills. We focus teaching your child how to float and roll over independently. Your child will perfect his/her kicking ability in order to swim more proficiently. They will learn to maintain their streamline body position while kicking, blowing bubbles, and looking down at the bottom of the pool. In order to graduate to Level 3, the child must be able to float, roll over, and swim 7 feet independently.

Level 3 Swim Classes

Level 3 is for the independent swimmer. In Level 3, they start learning the basics of Freestyle and Back Strokes. We introduce arms with the Freestyle streamline and advance them onto incorporating side breathing. For Backstroke technique, we introduce how to properly kick while maintaining streamline on their back. Once they mastered, we progress them onto incorporating their arm stroke. Both swimming techniques must be mastered to graduate to Level 4.

Level 4 Swim Classes

In level 4 our swimmers build on the Freestyle & Backstroke technique they learned in previous levels. They begin to learn the basics of Butterfly and Breaststroke. Swimmers now swim the width of the pool and train their endurance as well as technique in all four strokes.

Level 5 Swim Classes

In level 5 we work on refining the swimmers’ technique in all four strokes. We work on endurance and speed training as we prepare our swimmers for our Club Team. They will learn proper turns, starts, technique drills and the foundation of pre-competitive swimming. This will include time trials, relays and fun races to build confidence and further develop their swimming ability.

Club Team

Club Team is an introduction to Swim Team as well as pre-competitive swimming.

In Club, students will further develop their stroke techniques, build endurance and speed, participate in swim team drills and learn proper swim turns and starts. This level focuses on developing a strong, confident and well-rounded swimmer.

Summer Swim Team

Summer Swim team is offered during our summer semester as a chance for our swimmers to experience the competitive aspect of swimming. We work on building endurance, speed, and confident swimmers in a FUN team environment.The Summer Swim Team program includes weekly swim practices, multiple internal swim meets and a year-end awards party! Our coaches are ASCA and USA Swim Coach Certified and have proven the program to be a success.
